Andy's Gramophone Classics, Call now on 0774 999 6969
My name is Andy and I am a avid collector of 78rpm records, wind-up gramophones and other items of memorabelia. I have a collection of more than 6000 78rpm records to choose from aswell as a large collection of vinyl lp's and singles. My mission is to share these with people who would also appreciate them.
The 78rpm records are from the early 1900's to the late 1950's. I have music from dance-bands, big bands, jazz, rock an roll, old time music hall, wartime, and music to dance to.
I would like to share my music with people who would appreciate it for a modest fee of £70 per session within 20 miles of my home. Session length and timing can be adjusted to suit your needs. I do work currently during the week, so my time is limited to evenings and weekends for the time being. Travelling costs for events more than 20 miles away will be charged at £1 per mile, one way, according to the aa route planner.
I am available to play at care homes/nursing homes, retirement complexes, birthday parties, picnics, afternoon teas and other events. Because we use wind-up machines, no electricity is needed, we can play virtually anywhere!
We are DBS approved and have full public liability insurance, copies of which will be available.
I also have other stimulating collections that I could bring along, these include old telephones, WW2 memorabelia, various gramophones, radios and clocks.
My partner can demonstrate wool spinning and various wool crafts.
